Joe Burrow credits his leadership ability to former teammate, Ohio State QB JT Barrett
Joe Burrow has delivered a division title to the Cincinnati Bengals in his second season under center. While he excelled at a historic level at LSU, Burrow also credits his time at Ohio State as a major factor in the development of his leadership ability.
In particular, Burrow credits former Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett for instilling in him the necessary characteristics to thrive at the position.

When asked about where he learned how to be a leader, Joe Burrow credits former Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett. Said J.T. helped him understanding the mindset of playing quarterback, and helped take it to a different level for him.

Burrow has amassed 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions this season for the 10-6 Bengals. The Bengals selected Burrow with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Burrow totaled 287 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in limited action during his three seasons at Ohio State. At LSU, Burrow tallied 8,565 yards, 76 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
Burrow and the Bengals conclude the regular season with a road matchup at the in-state rival Cleveland Browns.
