Joe Burrow is still doing Heisman things.
Late in the first half with LSU trailing Clemson 7-0 in the national title game, the Tigers offense decided to take a chance down the field on a 2nd-and-3 play. It worked beautifully.
Burrow delivered a beautiful deep ball to Ja’Marr Chase, hitting the wide receiver in stride and getting LSU on the scoreboard for the first time in the game. The 52-yard touchdown pass knotted the game at 7-7.

That touchdown pass was the 56th of the season for Burrow. It was the second catch of the game for Chase.
LSU’s offense was a bit stagnant up until that point in the first quarter. It looks like Burrow is getting into a bit of a rhythm, which could be a dangerous sign for that Clemson defense.
