Joel Klatt believes Dwayne Haskins is still very much alive in Heisman race

Ohio State just cruised past Michigan.

It was exactly what No. 10 Ohio State needed: an impressive win over a highly-ranked team. Now, in the College Football Playoff committee’s minds, the Buckeyes should appear to be a strong squad. Sure, Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame just keep on winning, but who’s No. 4?

Certainly not Michigan anymore. The Wolverines were thought to have had a top-notch — if not the best — defense in college football. That was before Dwayne Haskins faced them.

Haskins completed 19-of-30 passes Saturday afternoon for 318 yards and 5 TD. He now has set single-season records in the Big Ten for both passing yards and TD. He’s only a sophomore.

Haskins has certainly been impressive, and was exactly that on the Buckeyes’ biggest stage to prove they belonged. The sophomore from Maryland has slung the ball all over the field this season and his name and the Heisman Trophy aren’t necessarily synonymous, but they are familiar with each other.

At least, that’s what FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt believes:

It’s a quarterback’s world and we’re all just living in it.

Maybe soon, it’ll be Haskins’ world. For Michigan on Saturday, it certainly was.
