Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was one of the best receivers in the country the season before last. He suffered a hamstring injury early this year and missed a majority of Ohio State’s slate.

He’s getting healthier and healthier, however. He participated in the NFL Combine at the beginning of March, and some still view the Ohio State WR as the top receiver in the draft despite his injury issues.

Joel Klatt discussed the unique situation Smith-Njigba is in on Tuesday:

“For the first time since the season, I got the sense that people were like ‘oh yeah, he is really good. Oh yeah, he’s probably the best wide receiver that Ohio State had when they had Garrett Wilson and they had Chris Olave,’ to those guys’ admission,” Klatt said. “I got the sense that he was one of those guys that really benefitted from the combine after basically not playing all year.”
