Joel Klatt talked Ohio State-Iowa on his show on Monday, putting the win in perspective for everyone. The Buckeyes dominated Iowa 54-10, completely shutting down Iowa’s offense and steamrolling the defense.

A dominant win for Ohio State is nothing new, but Klatt argues that the Buckeyes didn’t even play well on Saturday.

“Here’s kind of a bottom line description of Ohio State’s win over Iowa,” Klatt said. “I don’t think anyone would say or argue… that Ohio State played well. I mean, they had to settle for 4 field goals on short fields in the first half… They played okay, they got it going late right?”

The Buckeyes did get off to a slow start, perhaps startled by one of the better defenses they have seen so far this season.

That didn’t last long, and Ohio State ended up scoring a record number of points.

Klatt argues that the win should scare the rest of the nation. If Ohio State can play that well on an off day, imagine what it can do on a good day?

“Scored more points on the scoreboard than anyone else has ever scored against Kirk Ferentz at Iowa… So like since 2015, teams don’t even score in the 40s (against Iowa),” Klatt said. “Ohio State didn’t even play well and dropped a 54 on that team. That’s scary.”
