Ohio State is definitely playing well and looking to prove people wrong early in the season.

One analyst that is starting to change his tune on the Buckeyes is Joel Klatt. During a segment for FOX College Football, Klatt admitted he had some early season concerns stemming from the second half against FAU. Though Ohio State cruised to a win, the Buckeyes were definitely sluggish in Week 1 after starting hot.

Well, Klatt is seeing things a bit differently after the 42-0 shutout of Cincinnati. He felt the Bearcats would challenge Ryan Day’s squad for a while, but that just never happened:

“Ohio State just throttled them,” explained Klatt. “That defense clearly is the defense we saw in the first half against FAU. I had some ‘concerns’ about Ohio State after last week’s game, and Ohio State fans were all over me saying ‘It was the backups.’ I didn’t believe that was the case, and now that probably was the case, I was probably wrong.”

Klatt went on to explain that the Week 2 performance of the Buckeyes has them climbing in his personal poll. He now has Ohio State above Michigan when it comes to the B1G:

“When my poll comes out this week, I will move Ohio State above Michigan after seeing what I’ve seen the first two weeks of the season,” said Klatt.
