Joey Bosa injury status revealed after Chargers star carted off during Sunday's game, per report
Joey Bosa and the Los Angeles Chargers have received some bad news regarding the lienbacker’s injury suffered on Sunday.
Bosa, in the Chargers’ Week 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers, was forced to leave early due to a foot injury. According to a report from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, it is a sprained foot with Bosa “likely [to] go on injured reserve”.
The 2016 Defensive Player of the Year and 4-time Pro Bowler has been hampered by injuries over the past 2 seasons as he played just 5 games in 2022 after requiring groin surgery. He returned in 2023 and accumulated 6.5 sacks across 8 games. Now, as he’s potentially headed to IR, the soonest he can return is Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills.
It’s the last thing the Chargers needed: they’re currently 4-6 and at the bottom of the AFC West. They have lost back-to-back games by a total of 6 points and will look to get back on track in a tough one against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12.
