Former Ohio State defensive lineman Jonathon Cooper has officially signed his rookie contract.
Tuesday, the Denver Broncos announced that Cooper has agreed to his rookie deal. He was a selected in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the organization, going No. 239 overall.
Cooper played in 45 career games with the Buckeyes. He was credited with making 76 tackles, 15 for loss, 10 sacks, 2 pass break-ups and a forced fumble. He was also a two-time All-B1G honorable mention.

During the shortened 2020 season, Cooper played in all eight games during Ohio State’s College Football Playoff run. He totaled 24 tackles and 3.5 sacks as the Buckeyes finished 7-1. The only loss came to Alabama in the National Championship Game.
Cooper was one of 10 players from Ohio State to be selected in this year’s draft.
