With his daughter perched on his lap, Cardale Jones delivered some lofty praise to his predecessor.

The national champion quarterback was asked about Braxton Miller’s switch from quarterback to receiver. Jones, as he often does, answered with a strong statement.

Jones has never had a chance to play alongside Miller. Admittedly, the thought of getting the former All-American the ball was something Jones had to adjust to.

Miller missed all of the 2014 season with a shoulder injury but enters the 2015 with more Big Ten awards than any player in the conference’s history.

With H-backs Jalin Marshall and Dontre Wilson suspended for the first game, Miller could be in line to get even more looks at his new position.

The only question is who will be getting the “best athlete in the country” the ball.
