Emory Jones might’ve committed to Ohio State last July, but that didn’t stop the speculation.

The No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the 2018 class is still generating buzz in the recruiting world. A month ago, the Franklin Heard County (Ga.) quarterback got an Alabama offer. That led to an unofficial visit at the end of March.

Scout.com reported that there were still schools that could flip the No. 27 overall player in the 2018 class.

But Jones copied that tweet with an update of his own.

The Scout.com reporter, John Garcia, Jr., responded to Jones with a defense of his report.

The idea that Jones could be subject to a flip would make sense on paper. He committed after his sophomore season, he lives in the heart of SEC territory, and the Ohio State assistant who recruited him (Tim Beck) isn’t with the program anymore.

But despite the unofficial visit to Alabama and the growing speculation, Jones is holding firm to his commitment to the Buckeyes.
