Josh Simmons reveals decision for 2025 coming off of season-ending injury, per report
Josh Simmons is reportedly making the call for the 2025 NFL Draft after spending two seasons at Ohio State. The stalwart left tackle is highly regarded as one of the major OL prospects in this year’s draft, even after a season-ending injury vs. Oregon.
The news was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter with comments from Drew Rosenhaus, Simmons’ agent. According to Rosenhaus, Simmons’ season-ending knee surgery went well, and the Buckeye is actually ahead of schedule with his rehab.
Rosenhaus believes Simmons will be fully cleared for the start of NFL training camps, and that’s a great sign for his NFL Draft prospects.

Simmons started all 13 games for the Buckeyes at left tackle in 2023 after transferring in from San Diego State. He was the main protection for Will Howard’s blind spot to begin the season before going down vs. the Ducks.
While Simmons will be unable to help Ohio State in a push to the Playoff, it’s good to see he should be able to begin his NFL journey without a major setback.
