JT Tuimoloau draws 'historic' review from Ohio State coaching staff for Week 9 performance
J.T. Tuimoloau had one of the best games of his career on Saturday. He earned praise from Ryan Day and Jim Knowles at Tuesday’s press conference.
Day called what Tuimoloau did “one of the most historic games in college football.” He also said that it’s not an exaggeration to call it that. Tuimoloau had 6 total tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery against Penn State.
Ryan Day called J.T. Tuimoloau’s performance against Penn State “one of the most historic games in college football” and believes it’s not an exaggeration or hyperbole to make that claim “because of what he’s done.”

Knowles also gave Tuimoloau plenty of praise. He was asked if Tuimoloau’s performance was the best he had ever seen as a DC. Knowles responded with a resounding yes. He complimented Tuimoloau on how dominant he was in every phase of the game.
On J.T. against Penn State: “Yes, it is the best” performance Knowles has ever seen by a defensive end. Knowles says Tuimoloau dominated “in every phase of the game.”

Has Tuimoloau joined the same tier as former Ohio State players Chase Young, Nick Bosa, and Joey Bosa? It might to too early to tell, but he’s on the right track.
