Justin Fields addresses no-call on potential offsides on interception vs. Packers
In a key battle for the NFC North, every play must be taken with extreme caution. Former Ohio State Buckeye and Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields learned the hard way as he was expecting a free play from an offsides call.
Fields thought that Green Bay defensive tackle Kenny Clark jumped offsides and thus allowed Chicago to get a free play. Fields ultimately threw an interception to safety Darnell Savage in the endzone.

Unfortunately, the officials did not throw a flag for offsides on the play:
Bears QB Justin Fields was asked if he thought his interception in the endzone was a “free play”.
“I think everybody in the stadium thought that was a free play.” #Bears.

Fields was wondering why there wasn’t a flag on the field against the defense of Green Bay. Fields thought he played it safe, but it turned into a lesson for Fields.

Green Bay would take the following drive for an eight-play, 80-yard touchdown drive and go on to win the game in Chicago 24-14.
Fields threw for 16-of-27 for 174 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception, and a QBR of 40.9. Fields was able to establish a brilliant 10-play, 80-yard drive that resulted in a five-yard touchdown pass from Fields to Darnell Mooney. Chicago is 2-2 with Fields as the starting quarterback.
