Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears had an upset win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. 1st-year head coach Matt Eberflus got his team a 19-10 win at Soldier Field in his debut.
After the game was decided, Fields had some fun in the rain with a slide on his belly in the end zone. Fields went 8-for-17 with 121 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.
Fields won the battle of young QBs against Trey Lance in his first career start with the 49ers. The 49ers only touchdown was scored by Deebo Samuel on a 6-yard run. Lance finished the game with 164 yards passing and 1 interception. Lance was also the rushing leader, with 54 yards rushing on 13 carries.
This could a sign of things to come in the Eberflus era in Chicago. The Bears will need some more wins like this to challenge for the NFC North as long as Aaron Rodgers is still in Green Bay.
