Justin Fields delivered a statement following Chicago’s loss to Green Bay that will have some fans upset.

The 2nd-year quarterback out of Ohio State is already frustrated with losing to the Packers. The Bears have lost all 3 matchups since Fields joined the team last season.

Fields said the loss hits harder for those in the locker room than it does to fans because “they’re not putting in any work.”

Fields is correct here, but the way he phrased it perhaps could have used some work. But who’s to tell him he’s wrong? He’s visibly frustrated with losing, as any competitor would be.

The Bears have done a poor job of playing to Fields’ strengths since he set foot in Chicago. The capable dual-threat signal caller has attempted just 28 passes across 2 games this season, most of which have him sitting in the pocket behind a weak offensive line.

Fields and the bears can bounce back in Week 3 as Chicago travels home to face Houston.
