Justin Fields has already been approached about a possible appearance on Season 2 of Netflix’s new show, ‘Quarterback.’

But the former Ohio State QB told reporters Tuesday that he is likely to pass on the offer.

Season 1 of the show revolved around the lives of 3 NFL quarterbacks: Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and Kirk Cousins. It features exclusive interviews, behind the scenes looks and a glimpse into the lives of some of the league’s top players at the most important position.

Fields, who is entering his 3rd year with the Chicago Bears, reportedly doesn’t want to distract the rest of the team with cameras during a pivotal year for both him and the Bears organization.

“I don’t think I’m going to do it.” Fields said. He also later said, “I kind of already knew it would change the vibe (around the team).”

Indeed, Fields is entering perhaps the most important year of his football career to date. The talented dual-threat QB showed some very promising flashes last year and was the lone bright spot on what was perhaps the worst roster in the NFL.

And the Bears have made strides in improving that roster, adding weapons such as DJ Moore, Chase Claypool and Robert Tonyan behind a much-improved offensive line. That gives Fields a true shot to prove himself not only as an excellent runner, but as a passer as well.

We’ll soon see what 2023 brings for the former OSU standout.
