Justin Fields, former Ohio State QB, studying other NFL QBs during offseason, per report

Justin Fields is one of the more exciting young quarterbacks in the NFL and, the moment he was drafted, has fans in Chicago excited for Year 3 in a Bears uniform. Fields took a legitimate step from his first year to his last.
In Year 1 Fields was a raw NFL prospect. He was an elite runner throughout the season and had a strong arm that was plagued by a poor offensive line and lack of a supporting cast. The Bears slightly revamped their line last season and Fields shined as a result. Now, with DJ Moore incoming and tons of draft capital to rebuild the offense, Fields and Chicago may finally have a squad heading into next year.
And Fields has been relentless about his study for the coming season. According to head coach Matt Eberflus, Fields has been studying other quarterbacks all offseason to get a feel for how to better attack different situations.
“He’s working hard this offseason on his own,” Eberflus told Battista. “Looking at the tape from last year, looking at other quarterbacks, studying other quarterbacks in different situations. Third down, two-minute and all those various situations you get into. And he’s doing a great job at that.”
The Bears are unlikely to go from worst to first in a matter of just a year, but those in Chicago can absolutely hop for a playoff berth should Fields progress as his trajectory seems to imply.
Is it football season yet?
