Justin Fields included in latest Heisman Trophy odds after B1G reinstates season
With the B1G reinstating the 2020 college football season, one of the best players in the sport will be back on the field.
Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has been hyped as one of the two primary contenders for the Heisman Trophy this year, alongside Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. For a brief time, the Buckeye gunslinger was omitted from the equation with the B1G postponing the season until spring.

Fields is firmly back in the mix with the recent news, though. And he’s back near the top of the list of contenders, despite the B1G starting a month later than everyone else.
SportsLine has Fields tied with Lawrence among the players with the best odds to claim the Heisman Trophy this year. Both are listed at +300 to take home college football’s top individual honor.
Last season, Fields was a Heisman Trophy finalist after leading Ohio State to a 13-1 record, a B1G title and a College Football Playoff appearance. He threw for 3,273 yards and 41 touchdowns while completing 67.2 percent of his passes with just 3 interceptions. The sophomore also racked up 484 rushing yards and 10 scores on the ground.
So far this year, Lawrence has been unstoppable in both of Clemson’s blowout wins over Wake Forest and The Citadel. He’s completed 30-of-37 pass attempts for 519 yards and 0 picks. He’s also scored 3 rushing touchdowns.
