Justin Fields was not able to play against the New York Jets after suffering a shoulder injury. After being a full participant at practice Friday and not having an injury designation, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Fields should be starting on Sunday.

Fields was removed from the team’s injury report, which is a good sign. Fields has 1,642 yards passing with 20 total touchdowns on the year.

In Fields’ absence the Bears were forced to go to Trevor Siemian. Chicago eventually lost to New York by a score of 31-10. Siemian had 179 yards passing with 1 touchdown and 1 interception in the loss.

Chicago is now 3-9 after missing Fields in Week 12. However, it won’t be an easy task to beat the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. It will be a little easier since the game is being played at Soldier Field as opposed to Lambeau.

Kickoff from Soldier Field will be at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
