Justin Fields was moved to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the offseason from the Chicago Bears as they took Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. When he got to Pittsburgh, the expectation was that Russell Wilson was going to be the starter.

Wilson was injured heading into Week 1, and Fields has taken complete control of the offense. He played his best game of the season on Sunday, helping the Steelers knock off Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 20-10.

He finished the game with 245 yards and 2 total touchdowns but was much better throwing the ball this week. One of his biggest plays on Sunday was a 55-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Calvin Austin.

The Steelers were the first team to move to 3-0 on the season, which is the first time for the franchise since 2020.

The Steelers will look to move to 4-0 next week as they hit the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers didn’t give up much to get Fields in the offseason, and he is making them look smart through 3 weeks.
