Justin Fields not running from mistake-filled performance in win over Indiana

Justin Fields was not at his best Saturday, and he’s not running from those mistakes.
The good news is Fields did throw for two touchdowns and rush for another against Indiana. That was just enough for the Buckeyes to sneak away with a seven-point win after being huge favorites against Indiana.
However, part of the reason the game was so close stemmed from a number of miscues by Fields. He threw three interceptions in the game and was under pressure heavily all game.
After the tough win, Fields addressed the media. He is well aware of the miscues in his performance and did not run from those mistakes. However, his focus is still on the win, and that’s all that matters in a tough game like that:

That type of performance may have dampened Fields’ Heisman hopes but it kept Ohio State alive for the College Football Playoff. Now with a lead in the B1G East, the Buckeyes will finish the year with games against Illinois, Michigan State, and Michigan.
At 4-0, Ohio State’s biggest concern maybe completing two of the final three games to clear the B1G’s six-game threshold. The Buckeyes should be heavily favored the rest of the way, and it’s hard to see them losing after a win against the Hoosiers.
