Justin Fields shares thoughts on earning first career win as an NFL starter

Sunday was a good day for Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears.
The rookie quarterback received another chance to start for Chicago against Detroit Lions, and he looked much more comfortable than he did against the Cleveland Browns. Part of that had to do with improved protection after Cleveland had a field day against the Bears.
However, another added wrinkle may have been the addition of a new play-caller for the Bears. Chicago coach Matt Nagy announced after the game that Bill Lazor called the plays in the win:
“Bill did a great job” Matt Nagy says in regard to OC Bill Lazor calling plays for the #Bears today. Nagy stresses it is a group effort in building game plans and strategy going into every game.

Whatever the source, Fields settled in and played well throughout the afternoon. He finished 11-for-17 throwing the ball with 209 yards and an interception. Fields was also sacked just 1 time while setting up the offense time and time again with a number of beautiful throws.
After the game, Fields discussed how he felt and what it means to get his first win as a starter in the NFL:
Fields says he found out last night that he'd be the starting QB for today. #Bears
