Justin Fields talks execution vs. MSU, first interception of OSU career

Compiling 267 total yards and three touchdowns, sophomore quarterback Justin Fields had another strong performance in No. 4 Ohio State’s 34-10 win over No. 25 Michigan State on Saturday in Columbus.

There were some blemishes on Fields’ showing, however. He threw the first interception of his collegiate career and fumbled roughly midway through the fourth quarter.

After the game, the Kennesaw, Georgia native spoke about both how he played, and how the offense as a unit functioned.

Fields on being intercepted: "I had really mixed emotions about it. It's my first pick but it's football and it happens." He then smiled. "I think you all jinxed me a little because you talked about it so much."

Junior running back J.K. Dobbins and his backfield mate, redshirt freshman Master Teague, helped Fields out throughout the night. Totaling 174 yards, Dobbins’ 67-yard touchdown run in the second quarter gave the Buckeyes a 14-point lead and they never looked back.

Ripping off a 41-yard run of his own, Teague finished with 90 yards on 14 carries.

Improving to 6-0, Fields and Company are idle on Saturday. Ohio State will next be in action on Friday, October 18 vs. Northwestern in Evanston (8:30PM ET, FS1).
