The 2019 NFL Draft class of former Ohio State players is shaping up to be one for the ages. The class almost included WR K.J. Hill, but the Little Rock, Ark. native had a change of heart after the Rose Bowl and ultimately decided to stay for his senior season.
“To be honest, I felt like I was out the door,” Hill told reporters after OSU’s first spring practice of 2019. “I had to think about what I really wanted to do, so when I went home I really thought about it, and I wanted to come back to school.”
Hill further explained it wasn’t one moment, but a build up over a week back home.
“It was kind of building up,” Hill said. “Right when the (Rose Bowl) ended, it’s like, ‘All right, are you fixing to start real life now? Or do you want to stay in school?’ So, I kind of battled back-and-forth with it. One day I’m leaving, then the next day I’m staying. So, that whole week was like… It was a good decision to have, but it was very stressful.”
