Ohio State shook off a rough month of January by starting February off on the right foot.

The Buckeyes made 10 baskets from behind the three-point line and rattled off their second-straight win, defeating Indiana 68-59 at Value City Arena on Saturday. Ohio State finished the month of January with a 2-5 record, which included last Sunday’s win over Northwestern on the road.

Kaleb Wesson led the Bucks with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the victory. Starters CJ Walker and Andre Wesson also reached double figures, scoring 14 and 10 points respectively. Justin Ahrens added 11 off the bench.

Ohio State was able to get the win despite being with DJ Carton, who announced earlier this week that he would be taking a leave of absence to tend to a personal matter.

After a back-and-forth start to the contest, Ohio State grabbed a 9-7 advantage a little over three minutes into the game and never lost the lead again. The Buckeyes took a 31-22 lead into halftime and stretched the margin to a game-high 19 points at 61-42 with just over six minutes to play.

Indiana is now in the midst of a three-game losing streak, dropping games to Maryland, Penn State and Ohio State. The Hoosiers fell to 15-7 on the year and are now below .500 in B1G play, sitting at 5-6. IU has a week off before taking on rival Purdue next Saturday.

The Buckeyes are 14-7 on the season and 4-6 in conference play. They travel to Michigan on Tuesday and Wisconsin next Sunday.
