Kendall Sheffield, former Ohio State CB, lands with new NFL team after being waived by Falcons
Kendall Sheffield has a new NFL home. After 3 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, the former Ohio State defensive back has landed with the Houston Texans.
The Texans have claimed DB Kendall Sheffield and WR Connor Wedington off of waivers.

The Texans claimed Sheffield off of waivers. In the 2019 NFL Draft, Sheffield was selected with the No. 111 overall pick in the fourth round by Atlanta. In his first 2 seasons, Sheffled played in 29 games for Atlanta, making 20 starts and recording 97 total tackles, 6 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles. Sheffield began the 2021 season on injured reserve before being activated on Oct. 9. He made 9 appearances (no starts), recording 4 total tackles in the 2021 campaign.
