Ohio State has always had a rich tradition of running backs. That list includes returning All-American TreVeyon Henderson. Things are pretty set in Ohio State’s backfield for now.

Another running back that is making some noise is Dallan Hayden. The 4-star recruit has seemingly impressed offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson.

Hayden was a star at Christian Brothers out of Memphis, TN. The 5-foot-10 running back had back-to-back 2,000-yard seasons as a junior and senior. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Hayden was the No. 24 RB nationally in the class of 2022.

It might be far-fetched to expect Hayden to crack into the backfield in a short time. Ohio State also has Miyan Williams and Evan Pryor at the position.

However, the future appears to be bright at the position for the Buckeyes. As a top 25 running back in the Class of 2022, Hayden clearly has some talent.

Let’s see if he can get on the field this season. Any reps by Hayden could set up him and Ohio State for a stable future in the backfield.
