College football has a plethora of great quarterbacks in 2018, but there are two who have risen to the top. And those two gunslingers are the only guys in the Heisman race right now, according to Kirk Herbstreit.

Recently, Vegas has listed Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins as having two of the best odds to bring home college football’s most prestigious award at the end of the year. Herbstreit agrees with that outlook.

On Tuesday, the popular college football analyst made an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up! to talk about college football and the Heisman race. Herbstreit had nothing but tremendous praise for both Tagovailoa and Haskins.

“What Tua is doing is not fair to the rest of the planet. He’s out there doing things we only see when we play video games,” Herbstreit said. “You’re almost running out of positive things to say about him because every week he continues to raise the bar. By the way, it’s not just Tua. The players around him at receiver, the running backs, the offensive line, Mike Locksley…it’s the perfect storm.”

After Herbstreit was done gushing over Tagovailoa, he moved on to Haskins and the impressive season the quarterback is having at Ohio State.

“Dwayne Haskins at Ohio State is having a huge year,” Herbstreit said. “He has a big stage this week vs. Penn State. He’s a guy to keep an eye on. I don’t know if he has not gained as much traction because of who they played, but keep in mind they have played TCU. This week aganst Penn State will give him an opportunity to kind of showcase his talents and what he’s able to do through the first four weeks of the season.”

It’s hard to argue with Herbstreit about the two quarterbacks. Both Tagovailoa and Haskins have been sensational through the first quarter of the season.
