Kirk Herbstreit has hilarious one-word reaction to Ohio State’s loaded WR group

A major key to Ohio State’s success this season is the outstanding play of the wide receivers. There’s perhaps no better trio in college football right now than the Buckeyes’ Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson, and Chris Olave.
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit made a fascinating observation that in the illustrious history of the program, this could be the first time Ohio State has three 1,000-yard receivers in the same season. The Buckeyes have had five 1,000-yard receivers ever.
Herbstreit on the Ohio State’s wide receiver room, “Damn!” He points out the #Buckeyes have have had 5 1,000-yard receivers in their history and could have 3 this year and a 1,000-yard rusher.

David Boston, Terry Glenn, Cris Carter, Michael Jenkins, and Parris Campbell are the previous 1,000-yard receivers in program history. Boston’s 1,435 in 1998 is the single-season record by a Buckeye.
This season, Smith-Njigba leads Ohio State with 1,027 yards, with Wilson (813) and Olave (708) nearing the 1,000-yard mark. The trio has combined for 25 receiving touchdowns this season. Olave is tops with 11, followed by nine for Wilson, and five for Smith-Njigba.
This weekend, No. 5 Ohio State faces visiting No. 7 Michigan State in a clash atop the B1G East standings. Ohio State leads the all-time series 34-15 and is on a five-game winning streak vs. Michigan State in the series.
