LeBron James hates Michigan just as much as the next Ohio State fan. And, apparently, the NBA superstar has a few jokes at the Wolverines’ expense.

Before James and the Cleveland Cavaliers took the floor in Detroit against the Pistons, he was asked about Saturday’s match-up between Ohio State and Michigan. His response didn’t disappoint.

“We look forward to the match-up. We look forward to going up to the Big House and coming out victorious,” James said.

Nothing unusual about that response, just a fan wanting his team to pull out a road win against its biggest rival. But that’s when James fired a bit of a shot Michigan’s direction.

“Who do we play?” James said next. “Who does Ohio State play?”

When a reporter responded “they play Michigan,” James followed with another “who?”

There’s a pretty tight relationship between James and Ohio State’s football program. For several alternate jersey combinations, the Buckeyes have donned specially made LeBron James cleats.

Against Michigan, OSU will be sporting LeBron Soldier 11 cleats.

James was also had a field pass for last years game against the Wolverines in Columbus. He and several of his Cleveland teammates were dancing around in the end zone after the Buckeyes pulled off the victory.

Yeah, this rivalry runs deep. Even for an athlete as decorated as James.
