Stokes saw limited action with the Buckeyes in 2 seasons with the program. As a true freshman, he played in 12 games and totaled 8 tackles. He was not credited with a tackle in 3 games played in 2023.
On Dec. 4, Stokes elected to enter the transfer portal. Fast forward to Saturday, and his announcement that he will head to Cincinnati. He’ll join former Buckeye Evan Pryor, a 4-star recruit from 2021 who committed to the Bearcats out of the portal on Thursday.
Ohio State has seen a total of 15 players enter the portal during this cycle. Quarterback Kyle McCord is still in search of a new home, but others outside of Pryor and Stokes have committed: running back Chip Trayanum is headed to Kentucky while cornerback Ryan Turner has pledged to Boston College.
