Kyle McCord and Julian Fleming are both in the transfer portal after beginning their careers at Ohio State. Whether or not they will team up at their next destination remains to be seen, but both players are expected to visit a B1G program.

According to Steven Sipple with On3 Sports, McCord will take a visit to Nebraska sometime this week. Fleming is also expected to take a visit to Lincoln at some point, and both players could prove to be key pieces for the Huskers.

Fleming is a former 5-star prospect who spent 4 seasons with the Buckeyes. He set career-high numbers with 34 catches for 533 yards and 6 touchdowns. Overall, Fleming has 963 receiving yards but saw his usage dip in 2023.

McCord is a fellow former 5-star who spent 3 seasons in Columbus with 1 full season as the starting quarterback. The team went 11-1 under McCord but the offense failed to reach its full potential. Ryan Day was unwilling to commit to McCord as the starting QB for the bowl game, and he hit the portal shortly after.

QB and WR are two areas the Huskers could use some reinforcements with a trio of QBs throwing 16 total interceptions this season. In the receiving room, Nebraska suffered a number of injuries this season and would greatly benefit from a consistent veteran presence.
