Kyler Murray is entering his 6th NFL season in search of a major bounce-back performance. Fortunately, the star quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals gets a new weapon at his disposal with former Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr.

Murray took the NFL by storm across the 2019-21 seasons, winning the league’s Rookie of the Year award in 2019 while the Cardinals improved every season in that time span. However, things came to a crashing halt in 2022 with a poor record and an eventual season-ending knee injury for Murray.

After returning to the lineup in 2023, Murray is looking for a full season of improved play this fall. That makes the arrival of Harrison extra significant.

With the No. 4 overall pick, the Cardinals grabbed Harrison to become the top receiver in the offense. So far, Murray loves what he has seen, describing the Buckeye as “pro-ready” and someone who doesn’t feel like a rookie.

“I’m super excited for Marvin. There are certain guys, and I’m sure you’ve been around a lot of them that step in on Day 1, and they’re not rookies,” Murray described in an interview for CBS. “They don’t feel like rookies, they’re pro-ready guys. It’s a beautiful thing and I’m excited.”

The Cardinals concluded their preseason action on Sunday and will head to a season opener on Sept. 8 against the Buffalo Bills. Heading into the season, Harrison is among the best NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds available at DraftKings.

The Ohio State standout is listed at +650 to win the rookie honors, the 3rd-best overall odds entering the season. Only Caleb Williams (+135) and Jayden Daniels (+475), a pair of quarterbacks, are listed higher.
