LeBron James may not be in Cleveland any longer but he’s still keeping a close eye on his Buckeyes.

The NBA superstar had his eyes on Ohio State on Saturday, as it improved to 4-0 on the season with an impressive 49-6 win over Tulane. While James was thrilled with the win, there was one Buckeye in particular he was most impressed with.

It was fellow Akron native Parris Campbell.

Campbell had a monster day for the Buckeyes, tallying 147 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches in the win. That earned the receiver a personal message from King James on Twitter.

“I (see) you today lil bro!! Keep shining #OH #GoBucks #AkronBoys,” James wrote on Twitter.

Receiving a message from a star like James is pretty special, even with all the national attention Campbell receives.

Saturday’s performance netted Campbell his career-high single game receiving yardage and touchdowns. It was the third time since arriving in Columbus he’s recorded a 100+ yard game.

Campbell has been sensational for the Buckeyes all season. In four games, he’s hauled in 19 catches for 299 yards and five touchdowns. He’s scored in each of Ohio State’s victories.

Next weekend will be a little tougher for Campbell, as Ohio State travels to Penn State for a monumental matchup.

Perhaps King James’ tweet will give the receiver a little extra boost headed into the weekend.
