Former Ohio State standout and NFL running back Beanie Wells remains plugged into the Buckeyes program as a radio host on 97.1 The Fan WBNS-FM in Columbus.

Not surprisingly, he’s a popular interview with OSU in the headlines. He recently guest on SiriusXM’s ESPNU radio to talk about – what else? – Urban Meyer’s future as Ohio State head coach.

Count Wells as someone who doesn’t see Meyer remaining the head coach. Wells said with so much public discourse on domestic violence and the treatment of women, he doesn’t see how Meyer survives a scandal based on one of his former assistant’s alleged domestic abuse. Wells realizes his opinion won’t be popular in Columbus.
