Los Angeles Chargers release former Ohio State standout QB
Cardale Jones’ entire football journey has been an interesting one.
Jones of course played his college ball at Ohio State. He had an odd road to stardom there, but he of course showcased his potential by winning a national title with the Buckeyes.
The 6-foot-5 gunslinger is also famously known for this tweet:
Remember that time he said "we ain't come here to play school?"

As SportsCenter mentioned on Twitter in 2017, Jones eventually graduated from Ohio State. That was odd.
Jones’ future in the NFL didn’t hold a ton of success early, though he was drafted in the fourth round by the Buffalo Bills. He eventually got traded to the Chargers for a draft pick and on Sunday, it was announced that the former Buckeye was being released:

What’s next for Jones? We’ll have to wait and see.
Whether he latches onto another NFL team or makes a move to the CFL, the talent to play football is there.
