There’s at least one bettor out there with a lot riding on Ohio State’s performance vs. Clemson.

According to The Action Network, someone at FanDuel Sportsbook just bet $1.3 million on the Buckeyes to cover a 7.5-point spread. If it cashes, the bet would win $1,131,000.

That wager goes against the grain in a major way. Per the Action Network, over 66 percent of public bets on this game are on the Tigers. Earlier in the week, the percentage of bettors backing Clemson was over 80 percent.

Typically, when the public is that heavy on one side, the house ends up coming out on top.

Regardless, this should be a very interesting game. These two teams played a year ago on this exact stage, with Clemson winning 29-23.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is coming off the worst game of his career vs. Northwestern a couple weeks ago in the Big Ten title game. If the Buckeyes are going to have a chance to win — or even cover that spread — he’ll have to be much better.

Meanwhile, Clemson hasn’t lost a game with Trevor Lawrence under center since last season’s National Championship Game vs. LSU.

Kick off is at 8 p.m. ET.
