Marvin Harrison Jr. has made his place as the ones of the greats in Ohio State football history.

Harrison, junior standout receiver for the Buckeyes, was named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. This honor also grants Harrison as a Unanimous All-American for a second-straight season.

Per Ohio State athletics, there are now 11 Big Ten Conference players since the 1950s to be honored as two-time Unanimous All-Americans. Harrison is the first conference player since former Wisconsin star and current Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor got the nod between the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

The last Ohio State player to accomplish feat was former offensive lineman Orlando Pace in 1995 and 1996. A College Football Hall of Famer, Pace went on to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after being a star lineman and Super Bowl champion for the then-St. Louis Rams (now the Los Angeles Rams).

Harrison, a Heisman Trophy candidate, has put together an impressive 2023 campaign for the Buckeyes. So far, he has 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns. In three seasons with Ohio State, Harrison has 155 catches for 2,613 yards and 31 TDs.

No. 7 Ohio State, currently 11-1 on the season, will face No. 9 Missouri in the Cotton Bowl Classic at 8 p.m. Dec. 29 on ESPN.
