In the game against Indiana last week, Ohio State’s passing game had a really sub-par day for the Buckeyes’ standard. Superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had an especially tough day, as he finished with only 2 catches and 18 yards in the Buckeyes win.

The Hoosiers did a good job of playing physical and getting after the quarterback, and it was the first game with a new quarterback. The Buckeyes clearly worked some things out during the week, because Harrison Jr. had a monster game against Youngstown State.

He has 7 catches, 160 yards and 2 touchdowns at the half against Youngstown State, as the Buckeyes lead 28-7 at the half.

If that sounds like a historic performance, it is, as this is his 5th game since the start of last season with at least 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. Only former Ohio State start Chris Olave has more in his Ohio State career in the last 25 seasons (6).

Harrison Jr. is the son of former Indianapolis star receiver Marvin Harrison. Harrison is widely regarded as the best wide receiver in college football, and likely to be a top 5 pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
