Marvin Harrison Jr. opened Week 7 with an uncommon drop on a slightly off-target pass from Kyle McCord. After that early miscue, Harrison went into domination mode for Ohio State’s opening drive vs. Purdue.

On a 3rd-and-10 play from deep within Buckeye territory, Harrison beat his man on a nice route and hauled in an easy connection for 15 yards and a first down. Two plays later, McCord connected with Harrison on a massive gain downfield with another highlight-worthy catch.

McCord threaded a ball just outside the shoulder of a defender who never turned around while Harrison secured the catch through contact for a big gain.

Later in the drive, Ohio State was facing a 3rd-and-6 inside the red zone. McCord once again looked toward Harrison while sustaining heavy pressure, and the star receiver did the rest.

Harrison finished the game’s opening drive with 3 catches for 63 yards and a touchdown and was the only Buckeye to record a catch on the drive. We’ll see how Purdue adjusts, but Harrison is already off to a hot start.
