Marvin Harrison Jr. turned in another big-time performance on Saturday during an 11-catch, 162-yard, 1-touchdown outing against Penn State. The Ohio State wide receiver’s efforts saw him named the Maxwell Player of the Week on Tuesday.

It was Harrison’s 5th-career game with over 160 yards receiving and his 3rd of the season. He had 7 catches for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns against Youngstown State on Sept. 9 and 8 grabs for 163 yards and a touchdown against Maryland on Oct. 7.

For the season, Harrison has totaled 42 receptions for 766 yards and 6 touchdowns, with his 766 yards ranking No. 7 in FBS and No. 1 in the B1G. His draft stock continues to rise as he looks to be a consensus Top 5 pick and follow in the footsteps of his Hall of Fame father.

Ohio State is now 7-0 and 4-0 in the B1G as it looks to be on a collision course with Michigan and a Nov. 25 showdown that could determine the B1G East. It next faces Wisconsin on Oct. 28.

Coming out of Week 8, Harrison made his first appearance on Tradition’s Heisman Watch. He made his debut at No. 9 on the list and is still off the pace of Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. at the No. 1 spot.

As far as the Heisman odds go, Michigan QB JJ McCarthy is the current betting favorite for the honor while Harrison is No. 7. The superstar receiver for the Buckeyes is the first non-QB listed on the odds.
