Marvin Harrison Jr. did not score a touchdown that counted in Week 1 and was limited to 2 catches for 18 yards against Indiana. He took care of that quiet outing on the first possession of Week 2.

Facing a 3rd-and-5 against Youngstown State, Kyle McCord found Harrison down the sideline and behind his defender. The throw was on the mark from McCord, and there was no chance of stopping Harrison once he exploded into the open field.

The play went for 71 yards and is Harrison’s first official score for the 2023 season, and it is also McCord’s first touchdown pass of the season:

Even with a slow start, Harrison is a name to watch in the Heisman Trophy race. Anyone wanting to get in on that action can use our special Ohio sports betting promo code.

Last weekend, Harrison did find the end zone against the Hoosiers with a nice connection with McCord. That play was called back for illegal touching, but head coach Ryan Day said B1G officials confirmed to him this week that the penalty was called incorrectly and the touchdown should have stood.

There was no way Harrison’s score against Youngstown State was going to be called back, and he could have a big day in Week 2 after struggling to find a groove against the Hoosiers.
