Long-time Ohio State offensive lineman Matt Jones is more grateful to become a full-time starter. Chase Brown of Eleven Warriors posted his quotes on Twitter.
Jones became a starter at right guard after playing in 29 previous games with 5 of them being starts.
“It’s pretty good to be able to have a role and have responsibilities,” said Jones. “It just means a lot to me.”

As one of the most experienced players on the offensive line, Jones is more capable of playing center after the injury to starter Luke Wypler. Wypler was injured in the Week 1 win over No. 5 Notre Dame.
Jones said that redshirt freshman Donovan Jackson was very efficient against Notre Dame.
“I feel like Donovan did a great job holding his own,” he said. “We all stayed positive, worked as a unit and executed during the game.”

Jones also named an O-lineman that he believes should replace him while he fills in for Wypler. Enokk Vihami was his choice.
“Enokk is a very good player,” he said. “He shows it every day in practice, and there’s no doubt in my mind he could do it in the game.”
