QB CJ Stroud and company put on an amazing performance, blazing the Spartans 49-20. There have been whispers around Stroud as a Heisman candidate, and his performance on Saturday solidified his name as a contender.

On Monday, Stroud was named one of the Top 5 performers in Week 6 according to Matt Leinhart. 

Stroud’s performance on Saturday was a standout in a crowded field of standout performances. WR Marvin Harrison caught 7 passes for 131 yards and his second hat trick of the season. Along with a hat trick in the 2021 Rose Bowl, it’s Harrison’s third hat trick in 7 games at OSU.

Stroud landed on Leinart’s list by throwing for 361 yards and 6 touchdowns, with just 1 interception. Stroud also led the offensive attack, with the Buckeyes rushing for an amazing 237 yards on the Spartans’ defense, putting up a total of 614 yards on the day.

Currently, Ohio State’s single-season passing TD record is 50. Stroud is currently at 24 through 6 games. It’s possible Buckeye fans will see a record-breaking season from Stroud.
