Matt Nagy updates Chicago's QB battle between Justin Fields, Andy Dalton
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy drew lots of fire for Sunday’s abysmal performance with Justin Fields making his first career start.
It was a terrible day for the Bears as the Cleveland defense feasted on Chicago’s offensive line. Fields was under pressure all game long and was sacked time and time again.

Fields was filling in for Andy Dalton who was unable to go due to injury, though many have grown impatient with Nagy’s handling of the situation. Many are ready to see Fields start full-time, but it sounds like that is still not in the works.
On Wednesday, Nagy addressed the ongoing QB battle. He said Dalton remains Chicago’s starter if he is good to go, though Dalton was a limited participant in practice. Fields was a full-go in practice and remains No. 2.
Andy Dalton was limited in #Bears prax today. Matt Nagy said if he’s good to go, he’s still QB1. Justin Fields was a full participant with his “dinged” hand. Khalil Mack was DNP with his injured foot, as was Tashaun Gipson with his injured hamstring.
