It’s no surprise that the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country are coached by Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. Many believe those two are the best coaches in college football, in that order.

Meyer has three national championships, and Saban has five. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if one of those coaches added another title this season.

He explained why Meyer was the best college football coach of his lifetime yesterday on ‘The Herd’ (scroll to 3:30 mark):

Cowherd makes a compelling case. He also makes a legitimate argument for why the B1G has better coaches than the SEC.

Even if Meyer trails Saban in national titles, does he deserve to be No. 1?
