There’s a belief that Urban Meyer is one of the most intimidating coaches in college football. That might be true.

But he still has a soft side.

The Ohio State coach partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and delivered the ultimate surprise to a five-year-old boy. Kevin Jones, 5, was diagnosed with a life-threatening blood disorder when he was one. But on Sunday, the Buckeye fan got to get the full Ohio State experience.

Jones received a complete private tour of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, where he got to meet Ohio State players J.T. Barrett and Joey Bosa in the locker room. He even got to try on the team’s national title rings.

Perhaps the cherry on top of a memorable day came when Jones got to play around with Meyer at the Buckeyes’ indoor practice facility.

Meyer concluded the experience by giving the Jones family tickets to see the Buckeyes take on Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day in Arizona.

Needless to say, Jones won’t be forgetting his day in Columbus anytime soon.
