Miyan Williams enters his third season at Ohio State in 2022. After serving as a strong backup option in 2021, Williams will look to make an impact again this season.

One of the distinguishing factors of Williams’ play throughout his career has been an aggressive running style, and it has served him well. The 5-foot-8 Williams has not shied away from contact and led all Buckeye running backs with 7.2 yards per carry in 2021. For his career, Williams is just over 7 yards per carry.

On Friday, Williams explained his style a bit. He admitted to battling anger issues as a kid, and running the football became an outlet for those issues.

Asked about the 2022 season, Williams also revealed Ohio State plans to utilize him as more of a third-down option in the backfield. That could be an interesting wrinkle for the high-flying Buckeyes.

Last season, Williams was second on the team behind TreVeyon Henderson with 508 rushing yards. It will be interesting to see how those two look alongside second-year RB Evan Pryor.
