Miyan Williams – Ohio State’s star running back – had a game for the record books in Week 5 against Rutgers.

The 3rd-year back tied the Ohio State record for rushing touchdowns in a single game with 5. Williams ended the day with 189 yards on the ground and was named the Rose Bowl Game B1G Player of the Week.

Williams joins Pete Johnson and Keith Byars as the only Buckeyes to score 5 rushing TDs in one game.

The Buckeyes needed a strong performance from Williams, as the team was without star wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Williams responded by scoring 3 TDs before halftime. Williams added 2 more scores after the break, including a breakaway 70-yarder in the 3rd. This performance led to Williams’ first Player of the Week award.

The Buckeyes will travel to Michigan State next to play their first true road game of the season.
