Miyan Williams is officially returning for a 4th season at Ohio State. The star running back announced his decision via a Twitter post Thursday morning.

The post simply stated, “Unfinished Business.” The Columbus Dispatch later confirmed Williams’ return.

With Williams’ return, the Buckeyes have solid depth at the position, with TreVeyon Henderson, Dallan Hayden and Evan Pryor set to return for the 2023 season. Chip Trayanum could also be in the mix for the group, but whether he is playing linebacker or running back remains to be seen.

Henderson was set to be the lead back this season, but a foot injury sidelined him most of the season. Williams took over for Henderson and led the team in rushing with 825 yards and 14 touchdowns. His best game came against Rutgers, where he totaled 189 yards and tied a program record with 5 touchdowns.

Williams battled injuries late in the season like the rest of the group. If he and the rest of Ohio State’s backs can stay healthy, the Buckeyes are primed for a very good rushing season in 2023.
